Do you have any links to info on the stroker kit? Personally, I would be all over the Cobb replacement block, as I might be if my engine pops. Given that I play in the ~380-400 rwhp circle, I cannot operate without being ready to buy a new shortblock.

There are a few people making HUGE power out of the 2.5L. Phil at element tuning has a 2.5L making nearly 600hp!!!! and its 80% stock (pistons are the big change).

I would just looking into what you really want to do. there may be no need for a stroker.

Yes, bearings, pistons, and clearances are part of the key. Might as well do the rods while you are there to get a better rod ratio and deck clearance all while keeping the same static compression. It'll maximise the effect of the chamber matched pistons.

Given Cobb's rods, pistons, and bearings, tuners are getting 40wtq more with less timing given the better volumetric efficiency with the same tune otherwise.

Once again, if the motor is apart...why not do head work. Heads alone make a large difference on the EJs. Cams...don't get me started. I can wait for heads and cams. Even a stage I port of the heads is easily worth the cash if you can spare it, IMO.

PS. if you're going to do head porting, make sure someone who knows what they are doing does the port. You can really mess with a motors flow if the intake and exhaust flow are not properly matched.

It is very nice that we have so many options though. Hopefully they'll all be around in four years when I'm ready for a better bottom end.

Yea they definitely are building there own motors. Went by there a couple days ago after I saw the website. I gotta start saving some cash.
