What I found on our website; (It would be helpful to note that this damaged motor was equipped with aftermarket AVCS cams.)

Is this what you are referring to? If so, I see no reference to Stg III DPR cams or bruce.
there is no question that is my motor on your site and those were indeed aftermarket cams that you were trying to blame. your problem: i didn't have aftermarket cams in the motor. the entire documentation on your website is replete with errors and idiotic explanations to try to cover yourself, like your stupid fuel wash explanation at the bottom.

i also find it amazing that, in a situation in which the truth rests entirely on the piston to wall tolerances of that motor, there is absolutely no mention of them anywhere in your evaluation and i use that term loosely. either you didn't measure them when you had the motor (hard to believe) or you decided the news wasn't good (much more likely)

thanks for that insightful analysis.

so, quirt, how about that bobblehead video? all that rocking back and forth...back and forth...pistons striking the walls like a cow bell. what is your explanation for that. i've been asking since january. what gives?

Come on bruce, it can't be that hard. Copy and paste!

Fourth time bruce, what is so hard about posting the data? Maybe it does not exist? Maybe the clearance is different than you are saying, Who knows at this point??? I do, as does CP pistons

I measured the pistons before and after, as did CP pistons. Could you PLEASE answer the question instead of dodging it with a question of your own?

Quirt

So this means you are calling the folks at CP pistons liars. LOL What do they have to gain from it?

I can not call the folks at cobb liars when you have not produced any data for me to prove false....

i received the same .006 - .007 tolerance figure from them by phone just like you did. don't play stupid.

listen; cobb is a vendor here and my main sponsor. i am going to say this out loud once, just for you quirt.

the piston to wall tolerances on my crawford s4 motor, as measured by cobb tuning when they received in in salt lake city , is .006 - .007.

now, if you want to YOU can call them and ask them to come in and correct me. don't hold your breath.

When crawford got bad publicity, cp tried to dissasociate with them

Either way cp pistons suck, they expand to little at low temps and too much at high temps, I supsect this is the reason for the clearances crawford uses on some motors.

Wondey why cp has changed their design about 4 times

We changed our design, CP sells the same piston today that they started with. A phone call to CP can clear that up, allong with the "story" about any disassociation.
The phone number is 949-567-9000 for those of you who would like to know the facts.

I am just going by some information that I heard, not calling out you or cp.

So what about the expansion at hi temps and low temps?

Sorry bruce, you are wrong again... Maybe you have based your "claims" on a phone conversation, where I have written proof to back up my side of your story.

As I had expected, your whole defense is all based on hear say

this is reminiscent of that great scene in cool hand luke.

george kennedy decides he's going to wup newman's ass on boxing night at the prison camp. kennedy faces newman in the yard and is beating him to a bloody pulp; biff...baff.

newman falls and stumbles back up on his feet...wack ...bam. over and over and over he's knocked on his ass. it get's so bad, the other guys start saying "stay down luke...stay down".

by the end of the scene, even kennedy is sick of the beating he's delivering. he looks at luke and says "stay down luke."

stay down, quirt. you don't look so good.
