i appreciate your acknowlegement that you cant back your report and the fact that you are looking out for me. thank you.

the problem with repeating something you hear or read second-hand is you sometimes miss the conclusion. the conclusion here is that the problems were installation problems and not manufacturing problems. this is why people shouldn't jump onto boards complaining until they are certain they know what theyre talking about. rumors are a lot harder to kill than reputations.

the plan is for a light port and polish as opposed to a more radical port job. high end power is not going to be a problem with this setup.

For the record, Crower doesn't have AVCS cams right now. I talked to them. They said they will be available in about 4 months ... which means 6+ months in this industry.

uh i ordered cusco sways from them and recieved sways for a wrx. they refused to believe that they were any different until i showed them that the part numbers were actually different and they changed that on their site. i also went through 3 service people trying to resolve this issue because 2 of them would just stop answering me. thats my only gripe.

I got the K&N Typhoon already for intake so now I plan on getting just a downpipe. Hope that will be enough to make use of cams aside from getting them tuned. I would also be very interested in how they idle. Any chance that you'll get them dyno tuned? Thanks.
I will do a full review of the cams when they are installed, which should be within the next couple of weeks. The reason I said that I need to wait before everything is broken-in, is because I'm doing a fully built motor, and I need to break-in the entire motor. If your just doing cams, there is a break-in process, but it's not as extensive as what I have to go through...because I'm doing the entire motor.

You should be able to use those mods with the stage 1 cams, but to maximize the gains, you should eventually upgrade the turbo. I will let you know how they idle when I pickup the car. Also, yes I will be getting them dyno tuned.

Will you be posting the review in a new thread or here? I want to know so I can keep an eye out for it. Thanks!

Hey, Bruce. A couple of guys suggested that I ask you about this. Feel free to give any thoughts, opinions, or facts.
I was reading an article in the January 2006 issue of TURBO Magazine that I had read a little while ago about the Gadiel STi and found some interesting info that I had missed. On page 21 where they list the mods, above it is stated:

"Tuner Gadiel reports the Crawford billet stroker crank made the torque go ballistic and helped the turbo spool much faster than a stock EJ25..."

as soon as I seen http://www.vividracing.com.......

I said to myself..

Oh **** avoid this or find it some place else.

Vividracing is about this ****tiest place to buy off the internet.

Those guys are horrid at anything besides taking your money.

The only vendor that I would actually warn people about buying anything from is Vividracing

No post mentioning Vividracing is complete without the words total **** service being mentioned.

The only thing I'd go to vivid for is to give each of thier employees a kick in the nuts.

About the Cams.....Carry on

i didn't see a question there but, if youre asking me to confirm that, i will say:
1. the reason is decided on the s4 stroker in the first place was more lower end grunt and faster spoolup to compensate for that monster gt65 turbo.
2. my rationale was validated by phil grabow during my road tune when he looked up and spontaneously observed my motor was spooling faster than a stock ej25.

there ya have it.

If this thread is still kicking around, I will post it on this one. If it's not, I will post it on a separate thread.......something with Cosworth Cams in the title.
