IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2008 | Depends on the boost you wanna run and HP goals. If you are going to run huge boost and high HP I believe you would be looking at doweling your block to reinforce your cylinder walls. |

IWSTI Addict since: May 2009 | If youre getting a closed block down the road, dont waste your time and money doing anything for the 42r now. 30 psi is a lot but just over that "rule of thumb" 28 psi, same with the 600 so you should be alright for a while. I'm not a big fan of sleeved blocks unless you really want to run 30+ psi because the cost/benefit ratio just too high. I would either leave the 35r under 30 psi, get the 42 and leave under 30 psi- either of those to maintain current block and then when you get the closed deck do the 42 with even higher boost |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2008 | Stay with the 35R. The 42R will be incredibly laggy and it will suck to drive it on the street. Plus, to really wake-up a 42R you'd have to rev to atleast 8500rpm. Depending on your set-up 600whp should be relativly easy to hit, even if you have to use race-gas. |
