Default HELP!!!coolant in the oil pan, new motor never been started

BEFORE I TELL YOU THE STORY, I ALREADY HAVE A GREAT THREAD OVER ON NASIOC, ILL TELL THEYRE MAIN CONCLUSIONS BUT IM COMING HERE ALSO TO BROADEN MY HORIZON..LOL.. HERES THE LINK...

just dropped in new motor and all the coolant in the oil pan - NASIOC

i obviously screwed something up....first let me start by saying the motor WAS NEVER STARTED...i dissassembled the motor so i thought i could reassemble it, turns out i am a idiot...

so heres the story, i just got my new shortblock (built by slowboy) and i reassembled the rest of the motor and put it in..went pretty smooth for doing it myself with a limited set of extra hands when needed(my friends can barely turn i screwdriver, i do ALL theyre work)

i put coolant (only had 1 gal)and oil in a couple days ago and today i went up with more coolant and strated putting it in after another gallon and it wasnt full i started thinking something was wrong,

then checked the oil and it was dripping.. ...i IMIDIATLY drained the oil...as soon as i pulled the plug STR8 coolant came out about a gal n a half then oil then alittle more coolant... there was also a gallon left in the rad .. i drained it also...

is the head gasket not sealed? coolant/oil line crossed???

also, i torquerd the oem headgasket to the new arp directions...(85ftlb)

i was thinking maybe a turbo line was wrong bc i wasnt sure which was which but i dont think you can get it wrong..the oil lines are bolt on and the coolant lines are clamped on barb fittings(gt35r perrin kit) right???

also, the lines were NEVER unbolted from the head so they arent mixed, the oil return runs straight down...i was unsure of the coolant feed/return on the turbo.. im gonna take the turbo off and see what happens next..

i cant seeing the headgasket leaking that bad....also, the top coolant tank next to the intake mani filled up and stayed full for alittle while then it sounded like a huge bubble and it all went, for it to of went str8 to the pan like that there would have to be a HOLE in the head gasket.

after some posts on nasioc, i then took the intake maifold/wireing harness/fuel rails off to see the lines on the top of thye block...all ok..only oil hose is the breather which is right...and the oil line on the pass side head which goes to the turbo...def not crossed...

i noticed when i took the rails off coolant was on the injectors and coveriung the oring and a a small puddle in the injector seat.. i then took off the valve cover (passside) and there was a significant amount in there...

heres what i did after i had everything off uptop, i connected the 2 ThrottleBody coolant lines together, plugged the coolant like that goes upto the tank(next to mani) and put the main rad hose on up in the air not connected to the Radiator ...unplugged the oil drain and poured some coolant in..before you know it coolant started coming out and when i BLEW pressure into the rad hose it started spewwing out the valve cover right at the back corner closest to the firewall...the harder i blew the more came out and as soon as i quit blowing it quit coming out the cover but still out the pan..

some things ill add there was never spark plugs in the motor and NO coolant/oil came out there, im unsure if its coming out on the driverside also,i still ahvent takin off the cover...

heres some of the good theorys from nasioc...

installed headgasket backwards...

orange 'O' ring slipped or was not installed when the halves were put together...

turbo lines crossed....

cracked head....

head stud problem...

as far as the head gasket backwards, i was told to look at the "cutouts" theres 2 on the top corner of the gasket and when installed they would be opposite of each other which mine are so theyd both have to be backawards if they are..

my cutouts are towards the back of the motor on the passside and toward the front on the driverside
CAN ANYONE CONFIRM THIS???

ALSO CAN ANYONE CONFIRM THAT A HEAD GASKET COULD LEAK THIS BAD IF NOT SEALED ? i just dont seeing the head gasket leaking this bad without starting the motor aand havving pressure..(unless its backwards obviously)

has anyone had a headgasket leak this bad?

as far as the cracked head, the motor has VERY low miles(17k) and wasnt blown when it was pulled, ran perfect.. the heads were takin off and oiled and covered and stored until motor was done...its highly doubtful they cracked sitting in the garage...

also i installed the arp headstud to the new spec (85lb) and followed the oem sequence...i was told i was supposed to back the bolts back out each time and go tighter which i didnt do, i tightened them in sequence to 25, then to 55 in sequence then to 85...i also was told something about a final degree??? does that mean go to the 85 then go so much more? i didnt do that...

anything you can add will help, theres alot more on the thread that i have a link to above...please if you want read there as i posted alot more info there from going back and forth wiith others.

thanks!

there are so many questions I have for you....

1. Why was there coolant at the injectors?

2. Are you positive that you hooked up the coolant surge tank correctly?

It sounds as if you have it hooked to a pcv/ evacuation line that runs to the heads, and block....

Maybe something to do with a line running to the throttle body?

GOOD LUCK!

Did you put oil in the radiator or the place that says 710?
