Default the key to success??

I want to run a 35r but would like to know a formula to making mid-high 400's whp on pump (93oct). I also would like to know the key to making my STI a high revving motor so I can hold boost longer. Current mods are:

-Perrin FMIC
-Perrin dp w/ custom 3'' catless exhaust
-Perrin EL headers
-Injen short-ram
-Walbro fuel pump
-Open source tune

built motor with forged internals, gt35r kit of your choice (maybe go with perrin to keep with your current theme) 1000cc injectors, tgv deletes, plenum spacers, clutch/flywheel combo, meth injection, external wastegate, spark plugs, and........ yea maybe an accessport? With that sort of combo it might set you back about 15k with labor and all the parts but u'll be making 500whp easy.

the over 400whp wont be hard to attain with a 35r. hell, you could make that power on the stock block and as long as you have a good tune it should last a little while.

high revving and our motors arent well, liked by each other. our motor starves for oil up top. you'd need to probably switch to a dry sump (along with a good amount of motorwork) if you want to make it high revving. the stage 3 axis block has a rev limit of 8500 rpms, but could never imagine hitting that limit without some sort of upgraded oil system.

anyone please correct me if im wrong lol.

I already have an ACT hd clutch kit and ACT streetlite flywheel, now why the plenum spacers....reverse manifold possibly, i thought about it for the shorter intercooler piping.

There's a very big difference between holding boost at high RPMs and making power at high RPMs. Holding boost is simple on a stock engine when you have a GT35R and are only going for somewhere in the 400 whp range, but torque will be falling off dramatically on the high end if you maintain consistant boost across the RPM range.

If your goal is high RPM power for drag racing purposes, mods that aid high RPM breathing such as more aggressive cams, larger vales, porting etc. are the key. At that point, you're talking about stretching the legs of your engine and the GT35R and you'll want to upgrade your bottom end as well.

tim ..as u know i just broke the 400hp on my 35r...
if i were going to do it again...and u want a high revving motor?
2.0 cosworth longblock! U WILL be in AWWW how badass those motors are!
or the 2.5 with a 4088
thats just the motor though next is fuel!
Fuel rails, Jecs300 fuel pump or dual wallys, fuel filter, fuel this, fuel that u know the deal! don't wanna starve ur motor or anything
as for oil...don't worry the cosworth ur getting will come with the upgrade oil pump 12mm i believe!
Oil cooler!, also METH is great cause it'll lower ur knock index which in return u can run more timing!!! and more BOOOST! = more pOWAAAAA
as far as the drive train to hold the 450..I'm assuming mustang dyno! u'll need to replace ur output shaft at the minimum cause that'll dissapear ! lol also replace ur rear axels with some nice DSS stg5!
and now to the stopping power for that mean machine! Better brakes, rotors, and ss line! all that power and now way to stop it is bad!lol

How nessessary is an upgraded radiator? I love going to the drag strip since that's the only legit racing around here. I've been dieing to go to an autox. I don't want to build a drag car, just a beast of a street car. I don't want ALL my power up top to the point I have to shift 500rpm's later, that's just stupid.
