Built bottom end, stock heads with cams, but i have the element gt75 kit which makes no more power then the 65 without head work. You will be very happy with this setup, on pump and meth i made 492 whp and on race gas and meth i made 546 whp on a dynojet. The race map has gone 10.83 @ 131 mph with room for improvement. |

your current plan is solid but, if you really don't mind spending the money, you can bring out the full potential of what youve invested in your bottom end and that gt65 kit with some modest additional work. consider it a crime of opportunity. you are already doing doing arp studs and the springs and retainers, which is the absolute minimum you should do. - do a stage 1 p&p while you have the heads off. you don't need valves. you don't need cams but, once again, if you have the money and the heads are off you may want to consider a nice set of stg 2 or 3 avcs cams. - if you are adding the a1000, you might as well do it right and add a 2 liter surge tank with it in the trunk. you can get one directly from element. also consider the aeromotive fuel pump controller; it's not necessary but it makes the pump less noisy at idle and low rpms. phil can give you the parts list for the fuel system. it'll cost about a grand but it'll be worth it. you can turn the car upside down and you'll never run out of fuel. i am not sure you need 1150 cc injectors. 1000 cc sounds right to me. - you don't mention em but with what youre doing you should consider hydra. - loose the cosworth head gaskets and do the oem gaskets. phil just had them on his most recent motor and ended up loosing a head gasket at 150mph then hydrolocking and completely destroying his motor. i don't have the answer to that question but, i personally see no need to change from the oem gaskets. | |

| Authorized Vendor | Who makes the Cosworth gaskets? Are they cometic or is it another manufacturer? The only head gasket problems I have ever heard of where with the cometic's blowing due to high boost. The OEM gaskets seem to handle the high boost just fine. |
