yup, just get a new clutch and axles and hubs b/c you'll break them sooner or later (dss stage 5) and your good . increasing valves +1mm would also be a good idea for more flow

My point was not for you, as your post said you were stepping up to a larger turbo, but for the O.P. as its first hand experience about the price you pay when going too big. For the O.P. I would talk to the cam manufacturer customer service and see which of their products they recommend for your set up. Most companies are happy to help sell you a product that works the first time, so as to win more business in the future.

when you go big HP you start finding the breaking points on your car. the axles will go even on stock HP if u pound on them enough, so upgraded axles is a must. but when your upgraded axles suddenly can take all the pressure it had to go some where else, you'll shave of the splines in the stock hubs, so hardened hubs with stronger axles is sort of a no bainer. eg drive shaft shop stage 5.

i agree with that Torfeasor your best bet to get the best benefit is to go right to the source.

actually, i have a different theory on axles. with a big power setup on a stock transmission, i recommend keeping the stock axles as a 'breakpin' to protect the rest of the drivetrain, especially the tranny. the axles are the cheapest point in the line. upgrade the axles only after youve beefed up the tranny.

as for cams, choose a cam profile that matches what you do with the car. big cams and a massive head p&p sound very manly until you discover youve moved your powerband so far to the right that it's killing your fun factor for where you spend most of your time in the powerband.

kelford makes cosworth cams. fyi, ron at axis is the exclusive dealer for kelford in the u.s. or you can source cosworths somewhere else. i'm sure ron will help you choose the correct profile.

you really can't pick a set of cams out of context with the rest of the motor but i managed to clone one the most successful time attack sti's in the u.s. (element tuning's) and this is the formula we're using:

- gt65 (.82/65lb)
- stage 1 p&p
- crower springs and retainers
-kelford stg3 custom ground avcs cams
lift: .413 (i have a little more lift than he does per jeremy/cobb's prescription)
duration: 232
lobe separation: 113 degrees
