Default I'm looking for durable piston for my STI 07

I'm looking for durable piston for my STI 07 , what is the best brand name for the piston , ring , rods , crank . I need some advise , i have to change my crappy , weak factory piston in sti 07 and thanks.

I did some researched this is what i found:

1.) forged pistons , rings, forged rods, forged crank

or

2.) Cosworth EJ25 STI Forged Piston

I have a couple of great threads on nasioc with pic's.

Look in unabombers manifesto under the Piston FAQ.

Look into CP or JE pistons. they both are equal.
do you have a hp rating you need?

Right now due to the budget i'm gonna go for this one first InnovativeTuning.Com
I asked mike from Innovativetuning , i told him i need 370 hp stock intercooler , turbo maybe if i have extra bucks i go to the serious set-up , change to big turbo and intercooler but i have to change the piston first.

This is my set-up:

1.) Cobb AccessPORT v2

2.) Invidia V3 Down-Pipe

3.) HKS HI-POWER

4.) APS 65mm cai

5.) Perrin Lightweight Crank Pulley

6.) Walbro 255lph fuel Pump

7.) Serious stuff: forged pistons , rings, forged rods, forged crank

8.) Any suggestion what kind of boost controllers i have to use ,
i like the DEFI BOOST GAUGE .

A.) Greddy Profec B and Apexi AVCR

I only need like 360 to 370 horse power , the reason i want to change the piston coz to be

more safer not to blown the engine or crack the piston and ring.

This is what i worried about the STI 07 and check this link:

1.) cracked piston, not even 11k on 07 sti - Factory 2.5L Turbo Powertrain - NASIOC
2.) Blown engines on 2007 STi - COBB Forums

Check this guys they really good tuning STI 07:

1.) YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

2.) YouTube - Dyno Flash STI test drive and ICS Tour

Ive messed around with the dtec bc.....it was a good piece....slightly complicated.

However, i run the stock boost control system on my 35r...works good. I can hit 20psi in first gear....I'm sure I can do more, I just haven't logged/tried to see for several months.

at that power level it makes much more sense to keep the stock internals. tear it down if you break it. i doubt you will.

Here's the bit: never pre-pay a repair bill. Either a piston is broken, or it's not. If your stock pistons are still good, just do your mods, get it properly and safely tuned, and carry on. There are LOTS of guys around here running at that power level on the stock slugs. If they break down the road, then fix it.

In the meantime, enjoy the free miles.
