| Professional STI Driver | On my way to work today, my ABS light came on. Nothing unusual happened to trigger this, it just came on. The brakes feel fine. Other than the bumpy roads and stiff coilovers combining to knock something loose, I can't think of anything that would have caused this. Any ideas? Can the ABS light be read like a normal CEL to tell me what is specifically wrong (if so, will autozone/checker be able to or will I need to take a trip to the dealership)? | Professional STI Driver | well the abs light was on when I left work today. then it went off after driving about 4 blocks. then it came back on and so did the blinking dccd (before that the dccd worked). when I left night class tonight neither light came on at all. so right now it's gone back to normal, we'll see what it does tomorrow |

| Professional STI Driver | bump, came back on how do I (can I?) get the codes off an 04 without the scanner? I've been searching here and nasioc without much luck. found one thread that shows a black plug and 2 diagnostic pins (this was for an 02/03 wrx though). I found what seems to be the plug but I can't find the pins. |

I'm referring to the single wires as seen in this thread http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...ight=abs+codes not sure if that applies to an 04 STi though. I would go to autozone, but it's so intermittent I don't know if it's practical - I'd rather be able to just pull over when the light comes on and pull the code myself. From what I was reading, the system will store the code but it can only be read when the light is on | |

| Professional STI Driver | update - throwing abs code 26 (right rear abs speed sensor, abnormal signal) and occassionally the dccd light comes on and throws a code 13 (right rear abs speed sensor short circuit or open circuit) me thinks it's the right rear abs speed sensor lol |
