Default Sti Brembos squeeling?!

Hey guys,

Just wanted to know if anyone on the boards here share the same experience that I'm having. I've had my STi now since September of last year the car I'm the first and only owner of the car so every bit of mileage has been put on by myself. My rear brakes have been squeeling a bit for the past month or two. The car has about 11xxx miles on it and hasn't been bagged or raced at all.

I took it to one of my friends at Kal tire to put it up on the hoist. I took my rear brake pads out it was glazed a bit BUT the pads were basicly brand new. So i cleaned them off cleaned the calipers as well and put them back on thinking its dirt or something. But again they started to squeel a little. This only happens when i apply the brakes slightly. I usually gear down before coming to a complete stop i tap the brakes just a bit thats when i hear a tiny squeel. So i go back and apply some anti squeel. Let the pads dry place them back on and they worked good UNTIL today. Thew sqeel is back. I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and is it the weather? the pads? Do the pads squeel at low temps? Which doesn't make sense.

Great!!! Could this be deemed warrenty issues? I've heard that this is the reason why Nissan dropped the performance Brembo package from their 350z and G35, any truth to that? Mind you if its deemed under warrenty the dealer will replace it with oem brake pads and could possibly make it worse. Do you guys know if its related to the cold temperature or something else entirely? Also will changing to a different pads more geared towards cold be any better?

^^^my friend used to have a G35 with Brembos and his brakes used to squeal also...i didnt know that was the reason why brembos were dropped from those cars though, maybe they got too many complaints from customers who said "MY BRAKES ARE BROKEN"

and mine squeals in reverse also...sometimes i hear a rough grinding (tk tk tk tk) type noise when im stopping slowly... <--- is that normal? lol

I'm thinking that could be the reason why they dropped it. As for the rough grinding not sure I don't hear that but my brakes squeel when stopping forward not reversing. Its not so much as stopping hard its lightly taping the brakes after gearing down. Its more of an annoyance than anything else people might just think I'm too poor to afford brakes and have an STi.. although at the cost of brembo brake pads they might not be wrong LOL
