| Amateur STI Driver | Hey guys, Just wanted to know if anyone on the boards here share the same experience that I'm having. I've had my STi now since September of last year the car I'm the first and only owner of the car so every bit of mileage has been put on by myself. My rear brakes have been squeeling a bit for the past month or two. The car has about 11xxx miles on it and hasn't been bagged or raced at all. I took it to one of my friends at Kal tire to put it up on the hoist. I took my rear brake pads out it was glazed a bit BUT the pads were basicly brand new. So i cleaned them off cleaned the calipers as well and put them back on thinking its dirt or something. But again they started to squeel a little. This only happens when i apply the brakes slightly. I usually gear down before coming to a complete stop i tap the brakes just a bit thats when i hear a tiny squeel. So i go back and apply some anti squeel. Let the pads dry place them back on and they worked good UNTIL today. Thew sqeel is back. I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and is it the weather? the pads? Do the pads squeel at low temps? Which doesn't make sense. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
