Default Pad guides in the Brembos

I need to find one pad guide that goes in the front caliper. I have tried looking at different sites and came up with nothing. Does any one know where I might be able to order some from? Or if for some odd reason some one has one laying around I would love to buy it off of you. Thanks for your time.

Not that type of guide. Like the metal part that goes in the caliper. It sit's next to the pad and caliper.

Are you talking ablout the pins that lock the pad in the caliper and use the cotter pins to keep them from falling out?

Just go to the dealership, they can get anything you need for the car.

yes that would be a shim. They are only used to keep your pads from squeeking, i tossed mine a LONG time ago. You dont need them, they just make your pads quiet.

I just did brakes last weekend (Hawk HPS) and there are two, very different, shims in there. One is a typical thin metal piece. The other had tabs on it and was substantially thicker with some "woven" looking material on one side. Is it just a shim or could this be the piece the OP is asking about?

I was told they are both shims... and thus tossed them both. you can probably get them from a subaru dealership for $10 tops.

You guys make me laugh. Not the pad shims, pad guides. They are metal tabs that between the pad and the caliper. Not behind the pad but beside the pad. The part that I need is held in place by an allen screw. O yeah I also need the screw, forgot about that part.

You should have included a picture in the first place, then we wouldn't be so humorous to you. Obviously, it's not a common replacement part or someone would have known what you were talking about. I think you will most likely have to go to the dealer for that part.

An the reason for the laugh is that every one jumped all over the idea of me asking for the shims when all along I have said guides. No big deal just made me chuckle.

I did not remember I had the picture. If I did it would have been up there from the start. I was going through some folders and ran across it.

At my local dealer I was told that was a Brembo part not a "subaru" part and I should try looking them up. I just have not found a number yet. That's why I am asking the forums.

Yes I have called every one and there brother, sister too. What I was told was that it is not a wear item and that they dont stock it. Normally if some thing like that goes out or need to be replaced then the entire caliper is just changed. The guy at Brembo said I should try like ebay or a junk yard. So I was just thinking I might get lucky if I post here and some one might have a spare caliper or a destroyed one that I could have that part off of. If any one has any other ideas or knows some one that knows some one please let me know. Thanks again.
