Default brake dust

i have the OEM brake pads on my 02 wrx and the brake dust is very bad. i just got new rims and dont want to discolor them. if i got ceramic pads will this help?

maybe. my only real advice is.. get some sort of protective product for your rims.

Clean off the dust during the rainy season. I had project mus on my car during the rainy season, and it rusted onto the wheel.
now the dust is just BAKED on there.

Go to the hardware store and buy Mr Clean Magic Sponge. I had the same problem on my old car, spent hours with lots of chemicals trying to get the brake dust off. Finally saw an ad for the Mr Clean Sponge and gave it a try, 3 minutes a wheel. Not as good as not having dust, but less work then you think.

Also do a google search for Metal Master Pads. Relatively inexpensive, lasts about 50K, and guaranteed no dust no squeel.

I have used them for years (including racing) and have never been disappointed.
