Default HELP Broke Bleeder

Hey guys, I broke the front right outside head off the bleeder. Its fused in there good. Its now flush with the caliper so its just the bolt with the hole now no head.

I went to the dealer and they said that they can get a shop to machine it out and if not they'll replace the caliper under warranty.

My questions are these.

I am told by the service guys that there is no chance of leaking because its fused in there good. I can see a hole in the top of the bolt though. Nothing is coming through that.

Is this safe? Will it leak?

I have a track day coming up next sunday (april 9th) and if i bring my car in monday to the shop i dont know if i can get it back in time. So can i do the track day with the bolt like this? It has motul rbf600 in it from the end of last season.

By the way, i just installed the pagid blue race's. They are awesome so far. Hard stops are easy.

It's safe, you don't have anything to worry about. I twon't leak anymore than it would normally.

read this thread from a very good "grown up" racing forum and you can get some good info.

I always soak mine with PB Blaster before trying to break them free, the heat cycling can make them really hard to get out.

Should be safe enough for this track day coming up. Bleed you caliper with the inboard-side bleeder and have fun this weekend.

I would be surpised if your service shop couldn't get it done in an hour.
It's very easy to pull out a broken/stuck bleeder screw with a drill a "screw-puller-kit." It's kind of like a tap and die kit.

Go buy an extractor kit and follow the directions it will come out easily, so don't stress.

So I guess investing in a good seat of easy out extractors would be a good idea? lol
