Default ABS light on, can't find my DTC?!

Hi,

SUBARU charges $95 to have the ABS code read. I guess that is how dealers pay-off for their Subaru select monitor?

Any how i rather read out the code myself and im trying to located my DTC but no where to be found! The funny part is i have done this already but it was a year back and dont remember a thing!

The only thing i have done was get an alarm system installed, but how hidden could it be? Is the DTC plugged in somewhere or is it suppose to be dangling? Anyone got a picture of how the DTC looks like? (not a sketch but actual pic)

Thanks a bunch!
(currently driving with no ABS)

Check your brake fluid first. If your brakes wear enough then the fluid isn't high enough in the reservoir anymore and the light comes on. It would also be a good time to check the pads themselves.

Anyway, my Accessport just reads the trouble codes from the OBD II port directly below the steering column.

i checked my brake fluid its fine im very sure its a sensor hopefully not my abs pump.

When hit the brakes hard, my driver side front locked up so i replaced that abs sensor but the problem wasn't solved.

Now i realize a noise coming from pass. rear, the drumming noise when i pump my brakes...

Different sensor affect different lock ups?

By the way, my DCCD still works fine

Its under the driver's side dash usually taped together with the airbag harness. I don't have a pic though. If any of the abs sensors goes out the system defaults to turning the abs off. It could be bad news if one tire locked and the abs still worked on the others. When my front drivers side abs sensor went out I found out by locking up the other side (going into turn 10 at road atlanta of all places). Check all of your sensors. Beyond that you will probably need to take it in to figure out whats up with it. What program did you use to read the abs codes before?

i didnt use any programs, in ther service manual it tell you how to read the ABS codes. The once is test mode the ABS light blinks at given intervals and i have to count...

That would set off the parking brake light.

I guess being free and not paying to have it looked at is worth it when it is a month later.

Bump. I have a constant ABS and BRAKE light. Anyone know if 05+ have a DTC or is it integrated in the SSM? I cannot locate the DTC!
