Default GroupN Brake Servo Spacer

Has anyone used or even heard of how effectively this works? I know in the past one of the biggest criticisms about the stock Impreza brake system is its dual stage booster. Mike Shields used to sell a single stage booster.

Myles, I know you're into brake exotica, do you know anything about this?

If it really improves brake feel, one of the major problems with these cars, the price doesn't seem to steep to me.

However you will lose a lot of braking force by removing the booster. I could see it being ok if you were to run racing pads in a racing environment, but on the street you'll have to stand on the brakes to get the same force. Even so, most racers keep the booster.

I remember reading a review a few years ago in EVO about a company tuning out some of the assist to help with pedal weight and feel. I believe it was one of the french car makers, but I'm not certain. I remember being struck by the subtle brilliance of that kind of change. I also remember lamenting the fact that US car makers probably wouldn't give something like that a second thought.

you'll lose some. depends on what the pedal ratio is to start with vs when your done. but i wouldn't worry too much about it. i've removed 6 or 7 boosters from various cars (though non a subaru) and loved it every time, and every one was street driven

good luck

Hummm, I maybe interested in something like that since my STI is a full race car now. I'm just worry about loosing too much brake boost and get tired fast.

If anyone can see how much pressure loose, that would be great.

I'm assuming they're running these on rally cars, since Rallispec caters to the pros, so it probably can't be that bad.
