Exclamation lightweight rear rotors recommendations.

hello.

i am looking for a set of direct bolt on lightweight rear rotors for the 04 sti in which i can still use the stock brembo calipers.

i do know it is 17.75 lbs per stock rear rotor.

so if you guys know of anything that will suit my need, please let me know.

thank you.

The napa blanks comment is because nothing is better for braking than the stock blank-faced rotors. What it comes down to is how well the mass of the rotors hold heat. Lightweight rotors will have less mass, so more heat will go into the pads, making them fade sooner.

Girodisc made them for the EVO, but when he was contacted about them for the STI he said his tooling wouldnt do it. He posted recently about the 2 Piece rear for the STI on Nasioc, that it was in design but we will just have to wait and see how long and if it even comes to market.

I also suggest you wait for girodisc. Rumor is not much longer...

Just an FYI, for those guys looking for inexpensive high quality blanks you can call rotorpro's and ask them for centric brand rotors. Centric makes the rotors for stoptech. You can get a set shipped to you for less than $250 (all 4 corners). I drive a few tracks that are HARD on brakes, run carbotech 10/12's, and autox. No problems. Sometimes they are hard to get a hold of, just call a few times.
