Due to the new MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) policy being pushed down by the US distributor for Whiteline products all prior pricing listed by TiC in any previous threads is now invalid.

I will add products to this thread in a bit reflecting the new pricing tomorrow, but I needed to make this announcement before midnight.

No. This is NOT an April Fool's joke.

Bottom line is this - in order for TiC to continue to carry Whiteline products we must comply with this. Are we angry about it? No. The brand was rapidly becoming diluted and losing value with some vendors really selling very far below the previous "gentleman's agreement" that all US vendors had with the distributor. This got to the point, that despite people not wanting to do it, the MAP policy had to be done.

From our standpoint this is a good thing for one MAJOR reason. The folks selling far below this prior agreement would not offer any support to customers should there be any questions or problems (part of the reason they were so cheap). This left us and the few other vendors who try and work with the community holding the bag when it came to helping people. In the end, we and these few other vendors ended up having to help and support many customers, even on just simple install questions, when the customer did not originally purchase the part from any of us. Could we have told those folks to take a hike? Well, yes, but the few good vendors that I'm referring to just aren't the type to do that.

What you will see over the next couple of weeks is a shake down of Whiteline vendors. Those that are or have been a problem will no longer be carrying Whiteline products. Those that realize the folly of their ways and start to offer support in conjunction with following the new MAP policy will stick around. Those who have always been here offering reasonable prices (which with the new policy is still very reasonable) and helping others will still be around, and will still be helping others. Despite the source of the person's part.
