Dampening is created as the piston moves up and down inside the cylinder. Dampening is maintained by applying constant load to the cylinder with the use of high pressure gas. There are many characteristics to the mono-tube design, which results in high durability, and comfort even in the harshest driving conditions. SP Slotted Rotors

With SP Performance Slotted rotors, you will feel the difference. Its series of slots wipe the surface of the rotor forcing the gases to expel through the slots. The slots also greatly improve wet weather braking by preventing hydroplaning between the pad and rotor. The slots on SP Performance rotors are machined to the minimum thickness. This is done to insure that the rotor strength is not compromised, keeping safety and reliability in mind for virtually all automotive cars and trucks. This is a bolt-on, hassle free way to greatly improve your stopping performance. All rotors are provided with our gray ZRC coating. It provides long-lasting protection against corrosion in the most hostile salt-water environments. After being applied, ZRC provides the highest level of galvanic protection. The film of ZRC is conductive. After the coating heats up during use, it bonds permanently to the metal surface. It will not allow the metal to corrode, even when the surface is scratched.

Performance Friction Race Rotors

These rotors allow you to retain the Stock STi Brembo Calipers (which are excellent pieces) while reaping all the benefits of a 2-piece rotor. They are 4.4 lbs. lighter per rotor than the stock pieces meaning that unsprung and rotational mass are dramatically decreased. This will create better feedback and improved handling. These rotors are also vaned to improve cooling over the stock pillared units. Finally, dimples ensure that your pads are adequately refreshed while maximizing surface of the rotor and preventing cracking (as compared to crossdrilled rotors).

Gruppe-S Steel Braided Brake Lines

Gruppe-S Stainless Steel Braided Teflon Hoses could very well be the easiest and least expensive way to upgrade your braking system. In any braking system there is flex ? in the pedal, in the caliper, but most of the flex is in the hose. Every time you step on your brake pedal, up to 1500 pounds of pressure moves brake fluid from the master cylinder to the caliper. Most of the way, the brake fluid moves through rigid steel lines. Unfortunately, these steel lines cannot complete the journey all the way to the caliper because movement in the line is necessary to connect a non-moving part (the chassis) to a moving part (the brake assembly as attached to the wheel). These connecting hoses are made from rubber and nylon. Even with the nylon braiding inside the hose, when that much pressure hits it, it will expand. This expansion, or flex, weakens the braking system as it allows for loss of energy meant for the calipers. With Gruppe-S Stainless Steel Braided Teflon brake lines, this flex is reduced dramatically ? this means quicker pedal response and shorter braking distances.
The fitment portion of the Gruppe-S Stainless Steel Braided Teflon Brake Line includes an original swivel mechanism that allows for spinning to reduce tangling and decrease chances of breakage. This swivel mechanism can also be securely locked into place as well. Brake hose material is made out of a teflon tubing covered with SUS 304 stainless steel finely knit meshed blades. Additional black clear coating finish for protection against mud, gravel, cracking, and debris. Suitable for all seasons. Match and fitment test performed on each vehicle application to determine optimal hose layout for easy to use, correct installation.

ATE Brake Fluid

ATE Super Blue brake fluid is designed for coping with the extreme demands posed by motor racing, and makes an excellent choice even for street-driven or autocrossed vehicles. Thanks to its outstanding wet boiling point, it has the highest of safety reserves. The dry boiling point is 535F (280C). Wet boiling point is 392F (200C). Exceeds all DOT4 standards, though is not DOT compliant due to the color (blue instead of yellow/gold). Safe for Subaru brake and hydraulic clutch systems. 1 liter container is plenty for bleeding- consider two cans for a full system flush. If flushing your Super Blue, consider using the Gold sold below to flush out the Super Blue, as it makes it very easy to tell when all the old fluid is out of your braking system.
