Nope it sure isn't ok. Went to P&L to get a compression test done, but Jorge came and looked at my car before we even tested it. I definitely have bad compression in one cylinder (most likely a blown ringland since I am now eating oil). Jorge removed the fuse for my fuel pump and turned the engine over a few times and showed me how every 4th click from the engine sounds different than the other 3 (bad compression in one cylinder). And while removing the oil cap while the car idles, it spits oil. Didn't even bother doing the compression test because Jorge convinced me that it would be a waste of money (Props to Jorge for being an honest person.. they could have easily got $200 from me for the work they were about to do).

NOT GOOD.

I will be driving the car like a grandma for the next few months while I save up money to do an engine build. I will be dropping in CP Forged pistons, and am also considering other engine internal upgrades. I will be doing alot of research in the next few months!

Edit: I've been researching cams and rods on top of my forged pistons (that I am for sure going with). Can someone who knows what they are talking about chime in here a little and help me make a decision. right now I'm at simple stage 2 mods but if I rebuild the engine I will also be considering throwing on a larger turbo and fmic. Will I need to go with forged rods as well or should the stock rods suffice for most turbo upgrades. Second, it seems that upgrading the cams might not be a good idea for a daily driven car.. anyone have any insight on that?
