Nice. At least you will have a clean install.

Also some other little things noticed that weren't on my 15, but possibly on 16-17, not sure what game Subaru is playing though or of it's SOC picking options to be put in the car.

-Trunk inside handle release thing is different than my 15.
-The engine where it used to have that sound creator thing, there's no hole anymore even! They used the frame without the hole, not sure why again, to save 1 rubber stopper lol? Now I have to find another way to run my gauges.
-Sunroof frame looks different
-Headliner obvious different
-Glass manufacture is different and supposedly thicker
-Sound proof is better, I can't hear the starter as much as my 15
-MFD leather and center console has leather wrapped sides vs the silver ones in my 15
-Recaro is not like the older seats, it's similar but it's different, even the base portion, at least to me it feels more firm and the shape is slightly different. The back side is different obviously and it's good, not super tight but good enough for daily. Not sure if S207 Recaros are "comfy", they might hold you better but maybe not good for 3 hour trips. I drove my car 3 hours back from my dealer and was ok, only thing tired was my right leg trying to modulate throttle for RPM/load for engine break in.

I will check under the car later when installing some mods for rear end bushings etc.

Over all are you happy with the changes from the 15 to 18? I'm interested in getting one.

They have now in MFD some angle sensor to show if the car is downhill or uphill. Not sure really, I haven't even taken a look at the manual lol.

This is what I've been doing since I got it home, trying rerun the damn dashcam wires.Image Link

Probably applies brakes for hill assist, and maybe aims headlights...?

I'm eager to see the changes on the new car from my 2015 also. Too bad I won't get it until March 2018

Yeah it addresses quite a lot from the 15. The upgrades of course are good. Many people say the 4pots weren't an issue and I agree, I had 2 previous STI and the brakes were fine with good pads and rotors. But these 6 pots aren't new either, they've been using them in Japan on the S line STI's (S207, S206) etc. So maybe they aren't that much better, but it can't hurt and it's bigger rotor size and pad size, just not more pistons.

The seats are ok, not the best but for daily I think it's good, I'm sure S207 seats are better but unless you're making this a track car, which you'd probably swap out aftermarket seats anyways, I don't think it makes that much difference. 90% of the time you drive on the street and 90% of that time, you drive civil.

The headlights are good, now no more stupid halogen high beams and the LED DRL are good too. Many people don't really care for the electronics/lighting but I find them essential to cars now a days.

Now if they only replaced all the interior lights with LED packs, just all around replace every single bulb with LED, that would be even better, less mods to do. I don't really want to mod much, just stage 2 and some bushings and that's it.

No clue, don't have time to read the manual lol. I need to finish remodding some basic things first.

In your opinion is it just slightly quieter while driving or has it improved a lot? That is one big selling point to me.
