It will be interesting to see what Subaru has up their sleeve for the production model! I canceled my '18 STi order pending model details.
Theres STi Type RA coming out this month:
It will have new Bilstein dampers and an otherwise upgraded suspension, a carbon fiber rear spoiler, a carbon fiber roof, 19-inch forged BBS wheels painted gold, Recaro seats, and some mix of “gearing and engine upgrades."
A mix of gearing and engine upgrades? Have a link to official info on this? And this is going to be available at dealerships as a production version? Guess they are making good on the philosophy of bringing models th at were only available over seas to the U.S now. Probably going to be a quick car.
Subaru is riding on the fact people will just order it with so little details, I want to know more to see if it's worth it, but then by then all the spots will snatched up.
I bought the 2015 Launch Edition because they said that was the last model STi to ever get the WRB paint and Gold BBS combo. If they go back on their word. My STi will be up for sale and will never get another subaru.

I imagine this will come in the rumored "Herritage Blue" color. To me, the teaser image looks like the lighter shade of rally blue the 22B came in. Find out in 6 days!
Judging by that video, it sounds like the car has an ELH. Maybe the US production car will crank out a little more power than the current one due to ELH. I guess we will have to see.
Great article about the car and event depicted in the video.

No prob. It stands for Drag Reduction System. F1 uses, and the recent Isle of Man STI car used it too. Opens or straightens in long straights for higher speeds, angles down for downforce in the twisties.
