Stopping distances aren't really the topic of bigger brakes and literally NOBODY in this thread cares about it aside from YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welp, like I keep saying we just have to wait and see what the 2018 can do on the track vs the current set up, because none of the discussion in this thread really matters, none of the driving I have done nor you have done matters until you have driven the 2018. I get everything you said though. So we'll see....but I'm guessing there will be improvements. Subaru knows what they are doing.

The S207 Front Brake Rotors are 2pc floating design:

The 2018 STi 6pot Front Rotors looks like 1pc design from the media pics:

Not the same set up. I guess we get watered down version again.

Screw the brakes all the new ones will do is cost more. Like I said they added them to resist fade from the brake vector system.

Every STi/Evolution I had the brakes were fine for what I do with it.

I used to do fast stops from 90-100 all the time in my 2005 STi plus crazy street driving as I was 18 when I got her!

I was in the same boat when saw the facelift, until I saw it at Detroit.

I love everything, specially the seats, and they claim its quieter, if its anything like the update to the Forester then I think it'll be worth it.

BUT

the front new bumper plastic KILLED the look of the car, it's this light grey plastic color on the inserts, may be the lightning made it even more obvious but it was really mismatched with the blue and rest of the black accents on the front end.

I'll wait until they hit the lot before making the decision on the switch.

If that center shifter piece with the leather wrapped sides was already offered in Japan, does anyone have the part number?

The only one that came like that in Japan was the WRX S4, which uses a CVT.. So the piece is different. The standard STI and S207 in JP are exactly like ours.

Speaking of the S4, I'm really annoyed they didn't bring across the fog light LEDs. They'd probably get broken in CO in a week, but I still want them !
