That front bumper doesn't look very FMIC friendly.

Why would Subaru put a FMIC and still keep the hood scoop?

This is a google translation of that page.

It is different from former STI. STI and the debut which exceed the framework, “evolution”

There is the running of new dimension there, pleasure it does and is. It exceeded the framework of the word, “evolution”, it arrived in the territory where it becomes new, New in presser WRX STI. They need to make the spoiler bigger. I still see WRX 5 door with slightly bulging fenders.

They should have kept STI labeled fog lamp covers.

The date next to the picture is 10/24/07, that's when the Tokyo Auto Show is going on, so I guess that means that's when it will be officially revealed.

I hope they slap on the WRC wing. All this time I didn't like the look of the curved shape of the fender flares on all the camo spy shots but shot from the front and above makes it look like a different car especially how the flares integrate into the front bumper cover. It does have a widebody appeal to it now. I still like my boxy front fender flares of my 04 STI.

The Evo X has 311tq, I doubt it only has 295hp. I'm prety sure it's under rated.

You are correct sir. It looks like you'd have to do some modifications to the front bumper to get enough surface area on an aftermarket FMIC.

Some of the pics up earlier on the last couple pages are from the Evo.co.uk article...

There's a video of the prototype 2009 STI doing laps on the nurburgring track on Youtube.

Fender flares look nice up front. Exhaust looks good from the back, it would be interesting if there were actually two headers. No more boxer rumble if that were so, right?

Either way, it's shaping up, pretty cool.

I can't see them putting on the rally wing for visibility reasons, put Subaru could probably charge $1000 for it as an option. Even without the wing, the visibility looks substantially reduced compared to the current sedan.
