I don't mean to be different, but when I was on vacation, I had the chance to test drive the Mazdaspeed 3, and I was very impressed. Concidering they did alot to limit the torquesteer (Lower Boost in 1-2 gears) it drove great, I was very IMPRESSED. For a car weighing less then 3500lbs and over 260HP, it is a very cool daily driver, and with a little work, it may be able to keep up with the stock STi, and 23k....NICEEEEEEEEEE........

I remember another company doing this about 6 years ago.

Honda had a very popular selling Civic SI in the late 90's and early 00's. It was the car of choice for tuners at that time in the exception of the Eclipses. Then came the redesign. Honda changed the nice coupe into a small GTI based hatch. It looked like a minivan and had no other body options. It was the first and only time in history that Honda had to offer a rebate on one of their cars. No one bought them. Then the designers got wise, redesigned it again. Not only back to the coupe, and now a sedan as well. And these things are selling like hotcakes.

Lesson learned.... dont fix what aint broke.

I'm going to go against the grain here and say I definitely like the hatch better than the sedan. Do I love the hatch? No, but I like it better out of the two offerings so far.

The SI Sedan does look good. There is one that parks at my office, and it is black....

I'm real dissapointed in the Sedan. The hatch has some promise. As soon as someone comes out with a replacement front grill, I'll be OK with the hatch, but overall I'm dissapointed with the new design. The Sedan will sell in 2.5i format to someones mother but I just don't see the enthusiast crowd digging a wrx without fender flares. I do like the hatch though(less the front grill). Lets hope maybe the STi gets a unique front grill and some fender flares....fingers crossed.
