"Subaru has something brewing..............there have been no confirmed pics of the new STi.......the new Evo came out with its press release.......and its pretty freaking sweet with its power/handling. Subaru has something coming......I think it will shock all ." They did shock me with the new WRX/Mazda 3/Toyota Matrix and some kind of minivan ooooo my god if the new STI is as close to that then game over Evo x is going to kill it no matter how much hp STI has I don’t wont to be driving a minivan with 400hp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Evo x is the car of tomorrow so sad that they could not do anything more to WRX than copy Mazda

I have a really good source that told me that the countdown is the release of the new Tribeca and STI! The Tribeca is getting a facelift and a new bigger engine 3.6-3.8 liter. The Legend part of the countdown is the Release of the new "5 door hatch" STI!!! It is suppose to have around 350 Hp, according to the rep my source spoke to. "No word" on a clutchless paddle shift transmission, which is what I was most interested in, besides the styling! Take this for what it is! This is what I was told and it came directly from S.O.A.!!!

I hope your right about the release of the STI. However nothing has pointed to an STI release until september.

I was told by a Subaru Rep at the Vancouver International Auto Show on the weekend that the 08 STI will have exactly the same engine/power as the 07's (293 hp or what ever the new rating system is!)

I hope he's wrong!

What I wrote, was exactly what I was told. I was NOT hoping for a 5 door hatch, but I do hope the horsepower boost is correct. I was also hoping for a clutchless paddle shift system to compete with the new evo! I'm also waiting impatiently, for the release 2morrow! The Tribeca pics were released a couple hours ago to the Subaru dealerships, but I can't see them, because of the protocols on my computer at work. I emailed them to my home computer, so I'll have to wait till 7pm to look at them!

The Tribecca is even worse. I was actually starting to like the pignose, but now it looks like a Dodge Durango. Just blah. Oh well, I'm not the target audience for the Tribecca anyway.
