The Sti is not made in Indiana, only the wrx is made there.

Its not that bad looking, but we will see what the real thing looks like. I think I read somewhere that subaru needs a hatch to compete in wrc.

is this for real? the hoodscoop is there for function....not for visual appeal. It doesn't symbolize anything, minus the fact that it's got a TMIC. So let's ditch a totally functional hoodscoop if the car's no longer a sedan? riiiiiiiiight...

They need to give the 08 STi a better top end speed.

I have no problem with the next gen STI being a hatch. IMO, the sedan with the big wing is starting to look dated and Subaru is under a lot of pressure b/c Mitsubishi hit the ball out of the park with the looks of the next Evo. If Subaru can't match that (and all indications are that good looking designs are not its strong suit) then a hatch will at least differentiate the STI. But goddamit, try and make it look decent!!!!!!!!

Higher top speed? wtf.. how is that at all useful...

Lower top speed and taller gears.. no reason I need to be at 3000 rpm while cruising down the highway at 80mph. 5th and 6th should be overdrives, but even our 6th is nowhere near tall enough.

Well maybe instead of mitsu funding the movies, subie can fund 4 Fast 4 Furious and ours can be worth big $$$! :P
