The sedan looks pretty nice. 08 STi photos look like garbage as always.

That's exactly the thought that first crossed my mind.

Then when I saw the sedan I thought "and they photoshopped the top of a GC sedan to get that one."

There are so many different ideas of what this car is going to look like. I'll be glad when Subaru finally ends the debate with the real deal.

I really think the hatch would be awesome. Look, Subaru need a hatch in order to be competitive in WRC as everyone has a hatch and they are the only one with a sedan. That tells you how strong they can be.

Now think if they have a lighter hatch, how would that be. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Maybe winning some more titles???

Look at Citroen and Ford, they all have a hot hatch that will be very competitive in WRC. The sedan is too big and heavy to compete with them. Don't get me wrong, I like the sedan it's nice and everything. It just to big and heavy.

I would really love to see the hatch. The European Ford Focus will be coming out with a 300+ hp AWD hatch in Europe only and that thing kicks butt.

subaru should stick with the traditional sedan. if they're not going to stick to the sedan, they might as well take out the hoodscoop which symbolize what the subaru/impreza really is.

i mean hell, browse the forums...its pretty much a lock if you get to the community of enthusiasts that own the car, drive the car and love the culture, then the new model will be a success...
Supras didn't sell well... that's why it was taken off the market. It remained popular among enthusiasts, but not everyone knew about it. Then the damn movie came out and everyone wanted a Supra, driving the price up by about $6k give or take a couple grand. I remember looking at a 93 Supra TT(auto) with 60k miles for $18k before the movie came out... I should have gotten one at that time. Now that same car will easily sell for $24-25k.

Uh.......... they've been putting the hood scoop on everything, from Impreza sedan's to wagons to the Legacy, Forester, and Brat. Why should they ditch the hood scoop because they're talking about producing the STi in a hatch/wagon form? I'm still kinda sad that they went away from the large foglight thing. Lets not lose something else.

For every person who doesn't like the idea, there's probably somebody else who does. I would *love* a hatch/wagon style STi.

i think the hatchback is garbage.... we saw what happened with Honda when they released the Ep3 civic Si hatchback from 03 to 05... it bombed terribly. This is the exact same thing thats going to happen when subaru releases this crappy hatch. I dont know what makes the most sales for subaru but i can assure them that america does not like hatchbacks and they will not sell nearly as many units compared to if they offered it in the form of a sedan.

Maybe the decline in sales will be their punishment for the 5speed transmissions in the wrx

*sells subaru stock*

The EP3 Si wasn't the first Si hatch. The reason why the EP3 Si tanked is because it sucked, not because it was a hatch.
