Same with the Eclipse. RX7 was a hatch, and the RX8 is a 4 door coupe. So it was a bad example, but I agree with you. I'm pretty confident that subaru will do as they have been doing. Base sedan/hatch. WRX sedan/hatch. And STi sedan. They might toss in some 2door love, who knows. But I wouldn't count on JUST a 5 door hatch STi. If anything, it'll just be a variant of that model.
You read me right. I just wasn't fully aware of cars and those changes, I just assumed because of what I saw from current Gens and and the previous Gen of other cars. I really wouldn't mind a coupe hatch STI, I love coupe hatches, I own one. I just don't want a 5DR (I know the world doesn't revolve around me lol.)

im thinking maybe they will bring over the legacy sti and thats one reason they are cutting away the sedan sti ( almost classes markets ) i really dotn want the sti to be a hatch unless its a Coupe type hatch like the Rx7, Integra , eclipse. Not the hatch like the GTI, civic hatch, mazda 5 or 3(idk i hate mazda NOW)

if the sti is a hatch it might have structural integrity issues or atleast it might not be up to Par with the previous stis' ( plural )

the ONLY reason i would forgive subaru for the hatch sti is if somehow they get it right to where the sti is faster than the evo stock and still looks like a decent car....but still a hatch cmon.....

Hmmm, doesn't make sense to me that they'd bring over the Legacy STi when there's already going to be a 3.0L boxer Legacy...

car makers always do this...they a popular model and either remove it from production (supra) or make is ugly as hell

i think they need to hire market researchers, to actually go out and look at who is buying the car, what they like/dislike about the car, what they would like to see...

i mean hell, browse the forums...its pretty much a lock if you get to the community of enthusiasts that own the car, drive the car and love the culture, then the new model will be a success...
