I really think the sti will look very good. I think Subaru will not make the STI conservative and ugly like the wrx because the sti is geared towards people like us. Having said that, if the sti looks like the pics shown, they are going to have to get rid of that wing, it looks absolutely ridiculous on a hatchback.

However, I will probably not have enough funds to get an sti so the new sti design will probably mean nothing to me.

If the STi only comes in 5 door, it is going to be ugly. You can't do that body any justice.

I actually like the pics, minus the wing of course. Obviously though these are not confirmed however since the spy pics were pretty close to the wrx these pics Im hoping will be similar. Again, minus the stupid wing, which you can remove anyways, this is a good looking car. However, I think Subaru made the mistake of making the wrx so ugly because the wrx is much cheaper and available to more people. While if this is the STI, it would be great but its at a 32k+ price tag. Basically, what I am saying is the WRX should look more like this and actually look good because the price makes it available to a wider audience. Kind of like me, I probably wont have enough money for an sti so I will probably get neither because the sti is probably too expensive and the wrx is ugly.

It could be a ploy by subaru to increase profits. Maybe they think by making the wrx much uglier then the STI they can force people to pay for an STI that would normally get a less expensive wrx.

Nonetheless, these STI pics look good. Is it me or does the bottom pic look like a real car? Im not into photoshop or anything but it looks like the picture is of a real car and not a sketch.

Are you saying its crap in that you think its fake or that you dont like the design? Because without the wing I think it looks good.

Cuz it's fake, but that in no way means that I think the design is good.

Here's the evolution of the WRX wagon/hatch

I don't think it's a horrible ugly troll. I like the design, the sedan should be fine. I'm excited to see the STi (sept. 12--frankfurt auto show).

well with all this "hatch" talk i'm eagerly awaiting the debut of the Legacy STi. I know in Japan they have them but I heard a rumor, from a good source that by 09 the US will have a legacy STi . . . a spec B on steroids. From what I heard, which is only rumors is the next STi (hatch or whatever) will be twin scroll (JDMs been using it in every model of spec C and RA type R) 340hp and the legacy will be around 360??? with the same twin scroll setup just a lil heavier. The legacy gets the controllable DCCD too possibly. Only rumors but good one's at that. For everyone who hates the new hatch design i suppose you could look forward to the legacy . . . it might keep you in the Subbie family

That is what I"m talking about . . . . !!!!!!!!!!
