the sti version will be lunch for earlier 208 with 330hp and 6 speed manual transmition
What, where did you hear this? I mean, Israeli noosepaper reliable?

Sedan STi 2008? 330 HP? Hopefully lighter and with 18 x 8 wheels.
Does that mean no JDM parts for the 2008 Sedan STi?

It's getting interesting.

no indication the STI will be the sedan... the rumor is the sedan WRX is only for US market but no word on if the STI is a sedan. All rumors point to the STI being hatch like the rest of the world. 330hp sounds nice though.

hmmm everything sounds sooooo crazy.
this is my belief....
the japanese get the hatch version impreza since it'll be built there.

US is going to get a sedan version built IN THE US due to toyota taking over fuji and subaru and toyota also stole their plant to build camry's.
this is why we get the sedan version due to US market.

however, the STi version car will be imported from japan for the US and both the JDM and USDM sti's will be the same (as is now)..my speculation is the sti will in fact be a hatch being all the imprezas in japan will be.

get my drift? the whole line up will be on the same chassis, but the US impreza will be built into a sedan HERE.

The good thing here is it wont be out for at least a year. So we have lots of time to get the current model.

I think subaru should really just modify the current front end or have a modeified version of the 04-05 front end. It wouldnt be anything really new but at least they know we like it.

I guess we will have to wait until it is offically unveiled in a few months to see if we should wait or buy the current model.

Even if the 2008 STi IS a 5 door hatch only, but if it comes with 330 stock BHP, it's gonna be hard to say no to that...

Sell me with power Subaru, show me the power...

I may be in the minority but I am still not happy about the possibility of the STI being a hatch. One of the main reasons I bought the car was because it was a sedan and I planned on buying another one later. Maybe this will make way for a Legacy tuned by STI version . I will hold absolute judgement though until we see some concrete proof of what the car will look like. You guys have some interesting theories though which could all be possibilities.
