What month's issue is it? I haven't gotten it yet, apparently. I'm still not placing any bets. April 5th will tell the tale.

It's the May 2007 issue. I'm looking at it right now . . . it's making me ill. I've read the article like 5 times already . . . no specs on the STi other than it will globally be a 5 door. The WRX will be offered in 5 door and sedan. The engine in the WRX is a carryover with the same hp ratings, 17'' wheels blah blah optional navigation, 6 disc cd um other things mentioned is a different rear suspension unequal length control arms to replace the multilink for more trunk space um it gets the STi's steering grear 15.0:1 interior grows 2 inches in width over the last model, length increases 3.7 inches blah blah . . . this is all the WRX though nothing about the STi mechanically was stated.

The only good thing was that the curb weight is est. @ 3150-3200 a lil lighter

Oh and on a side note the STi better bring some heat cause theres and article on the G37 which now gets 330hp . . . .

We'll have to wait and see. I'm sure I'll be in here groaning about "new 08 STi stats!" threads as the year wears on.

haha ya thats true. I'm sure they'll bring the power but the styling is alll wrong i think. I really wish they just ripped off the Peugot 206 style if they were gonna go to the hatch . . . much nicer . . . this is just too soft. Theres no fenders at all no mean look

STi is heavier than WRX so my guess is it won't be lighter

Everyone on Evom is laughing at this car!

Photoshop?

Look at the doors, the side-windows, the rear wheel-arch, the headlights curving to the bumper, Fog-light placing, roof curving.

^those are pretty damn similar. But I'm looking at my motor trend right now and they even have a "behind the scenes" picture of them taking a picture of this thing called a WRX hatch. I'm afraid to say it but it's real.

At this point, just about all cars have some styling cues from others, that is just how it goes... how many original designs can there be for a hatch? They are all pretty much the same shape....

+1

Seems like everyone recycles the same lame "fugly" comments from the previous years.

Whats the verdict on the engine in the legacy vs the new WRX?
