man i won't believe anything until subaru released the info on their website or at an auto show.

5 door FTL, gonna be heavy..
if it's 3 door like a peugoet or however you spell it, that would be sick nasty.

Opel Creates 192-hp Corsa OPC Subcompact

This doesn't look all that bad... 5dr. has nothing to do with making it heavier, the whole move to a hatchback was to be more competitive in wrc trim

5 door is going to extend the frame, etc and add a bit more weight.

it all depends on how they design it.

with less overhang on either end not being a bad thing.

as you said before, just wait and see what happens.

the thing that will add the most weight is the continual "need" to be safer (aka heavier).

hopefully there's a good power to weight ratio.
we'll all know soon.

Still too early to tell, wait till the official pics and specs comes out. I guess Subaru wants to really compete with Citroen & Peugot in WRC to bring in a hatchback version. BTW, the pic is not that bad

The 2008 STi will be on a Legacy chasis. It will only offered in a 5-door hatch (not wagon.) The 2008 WRX with be available in a sedan or hatch as well as the 2.5i's. The STi has a completely different look compared to the wrx's and 2.5i's unlike previous years. i work for subaru and this is confirmed.

What the hell, why would they build it on the Legacy chassis, it'd be too big and heavy.
