First of all, since it’s my first post, I would like to let you know that this forum is one of the best I ever joined, many useful information can be found and also many members have deep knowledge about STi and any car related subjects.

I bought my STi in May, and it’s my fourth Subie. I had a ’92 SVX, a ’04 Impreza TS, a ’08 WRX and now my ’08 STi.

And now let’s get back on topic… I live in Quebec and no tune shop offers protune in my area… Only ECUTek.. I’ve made some search but I didn’t find anything for a recommended Protuner in New Hampshire/Vermont/Ontario area….

The nearest Protune recommended shop I found is XX Tuning in CT… Which is a 5h drive from home.

Does anyone knows a good protuner shop closer to Montreal?

if you can make an overnight out of it, and get Chris of EFI Logics to tune you at XX in CT i think the drive would be worth it.... he tuned me at XX back in June and my 08 has run 100% awesome ever since

I would suggest tuning yourself.

The learning curve is not high. Spend some time reading and you will be richer and better off in the end.

I'm not sure what goals you are looking for, but give the guys at neetronics a call. I've never been in for a protune, but they come highly recommended by members at the Toronto Subaru Club.

I already ordered those two books:

How to Tune and Modify Engine Management Systems - Jeff Hartman

Engine Management: Advanced Tuning - Greg Banish

But by the time I'll get enough knowledge not to blow anything on my car by tuning it by myself with Cobb AccesTuner Race software.. I'll go with someone who does that for a living

I'm more than 6 hours ½ from Buffalo... My plan was to do everything the same day: Travel to the shop, get the car tuned and then get back to home..

It could be an option but I would like the shop to be closer to Montreal than that...

Not sure what exactly this shop is capable of doing, but I live in Vermont and they have the nearest AWD dyno to me. They are in Lake Placid New York, which is roughly an hour or so from the Canadian border. Moon Performance: Moon Performance - Lake Placid, NY

Lachute Subaru only does Ecutek?

They did my complete V7 conversion in my bugeye! Great guys, incredible work!

Yep... They stops offering protune session but they still sells Cobb AP...

They also told me that ECUTek is way better then protune (I don't know if it's true) but since I leased my car, I need to be able to bring it back stock...

I Live in Northern VT and went to Chris in Hartford CT...he did a great job and the car runs excellent.
