IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2006 Trader Rating: (0)  |  can someone clear this up for me? two different side mirrors for 08? im not sure if it's jdm vs us etc.. but it seems to me that some 08's have this larger (too big) more square looking sidemirrors and some have a slimmer more previous gen chassis shape and size....... anyone know about this? i've noticed in comparisons of some us models too.. all via online pictures, yes.. a good example is a white 08 that just popped up on the for sale forum.. his are slim almost like my 06. You need to be more clear then  I looked at the classifieds and JDM spec and they looked the same, you need to mention the UK Unique to the European/Australian market from what I saw on the websites a month ago. However they have both styles overseas... The best guess I can take is it may have something to do with Electric folding mirrors/and or heated mirrors. Not sure if they have concave mirrors or not either. I would not doubt either if the EU or anywhere else had specific requirements for mirror size to meet new saftey standards. I have never seen these mirrors on any US Spec car, you mentioned Crawford? I have seen pictures of their race car and of a blue 08 STI with Crawford banner and they both have the standard mirrors. So the only difference I have seen are those overseas. I do have a picture of a base model (17" wheels) EU that has the side lamps... has to have something to do with folding mirrors and/or concave mirrors? |
