Cool! Kind of confirms what I remember reading ab the Spec C earlier.... smaller gas tank, thinner glass, aluminum body panels. I really like the new rear diffuser! I'm not sure how they know it's a Spec C...wouldn't you be stoked if your lightly modded STI was suddenly on the internet as the supposed "Spec C" variant?

of course that would be cool.

but i'm sure that is the Spec-C. Something about the white wheels and the fact that it is on nurburgring./

meh...bigger brakes sound great BUT thinner materials and smaller tank = not a good DD in the crazy SUV infested streets of LA. Not liking the rear diffuser either. Long story short, not feeling the Spec-C. Yeah, I'm getting older.

Rear diffuser FTW! Now hope they get rid of the Steel hood, and bring this bad boy into US

It won't ever make it to the states.

It's used for FIA Group N homologation. A class of racing that utilizes factory built cars. Modifications are strictly limited to the vehicles racing this class.

In other words, they don't care if you do or don't want to DD it . It's built to race!

Quote:
To qualify for homologation, a minimum of 2500 cars of the competing model have to be built in one year, out of 25,000 for the entire range of the model (eg: 2500 Subaru Impreza WRX, out of 25,000 Subaru Impreza).

You think the weight savings will compensate for the handling disparity? With bigger brakes adding unsprung weight, I think handling may be marginally better due to the weight savings elsewhere, but I wouldn't expect too much.

THe Spec C in previous models always whooped on the EVO. The STOCK regualr JDM STi already whooped on the EVO.

i just think Subaru needs to bring another STI model, whether spec c or not, over to the states to compete with the MR.
