Default Special edition 2008 STi's

Has anyone heard anything about any type of limited edition STi. I'm guessing they will make an s205 and a spec c. But I'm interested if there is any word on a Colin McCrae edition in memory of his passing away.

I'm asking because I'm thinking of getting an '08 but I'd wait if there was a chance at a Colin McCrae edition being made

Not likely... unless they COMPLETELY surprise us. I don't think there's been ANY rumors or hints of that, that I know of.

Sure, there's been lots of overseas models... they just never seem to bring the "really" cool ones here. A lot of it has to do with emissions....

they NEVER bring the cool ones here... its not just subaru, but all car companies in general do not bring their gems to the US...

We'll definitely see a Spec "X" version at some point, but highly doubtful in the U.S. People have mentioned U.S. regulations as a barrier, but the real truth IMO is that it's more of a cultural thing. This isn't limited to cars.

Technology in general (video games, gadgets, cars, you name it) is often kept in Japan and not exported to the U.S. I'm still waiting for them to give us a freaking silver Playstation 3.

Of course the silver PS3 would never pass inspections at the border/customs. ;-)

A limited would be good, seems like they may do it for MY09 like they did for 06/07 have a couple colors with some different interiors and perhaps a select color or something
