Default Fnt Bmpr loose&lining up poorly?

A ? for the 08 crowd, anybody else,s front bumper fitting like poo?Mine is loose,if you grab the lower lip and gently wiggle back & forth front to back their is imho too much movement(1.5"-2").also the seam where the front clip meets the front fenders is opening up,seems like the clip is sagging down.if i gently lift up on the clip the seam closes up hmm.Further more on closer inspection the black plastics in the lower air inlet shows the slight tail tail signs of a crease.like when you crease a piece of plastic it turns white where the crease was double hmm....i have never hit anything, and the car has not been out of my sight from 6mi on.I noticed the faint creases early on (500-750mi)but did not think to much of it until now(3100mi).Here are my concerns:#1 i dont want to look like a ricer with body panels wiggling in the wind.#2 how much will it move at say 150mph when their is some real force at work?#3 is it possible that some where during shipping some one smacked the front when there was protective plastic film on it? there are no signs of impact other than the faint creases.today i think i will take it in to the dealer, see what they say.meanwhile may i ask a few 08 people to check your cars and see if you have any off these issues.i guess im trying to figure out if this is common to 08,or if my car was involved in a slow speed collision before i picked it up. thanks mike

I noticed the same issue on mine... but I really noticed when closing the hood! The whole front end sorta wiggles back and forth when I close the hood... Maybe there needs to be more/better supports?

^^^thnks +1 for wiggles.the plastic pop fasteners do not seem up to the task of holding it securely.when i press on the underside fasteners a bit of the play is gone eerr.

i noticed the wiggles on my 07 as well as my 08 - i don't know about 1 or 2" though. it seems as though they aren't providing enough support for the front bumper.

i'd bring it in to the dealer - and stop shaking the **** outta it!

I've noticed this as well when closing the hood... A little tacky looking, but a couple strategically placed sheet metal screws and she doesn't shake a bit!

I noticed the same thing when I was washing the car; seems the front and rear bumper give a little more than any previous cars..

yep i dont remember my 04 being like this.i went to the dealer and made note of it with the service manager.we walked around the lot and checked every sti they had.guess what all the same.i asked and they dont have a problem with me swapping out the fasteners for some nice pimpy ones.i suspect the wiggle is from the play at the mounting points.so im thinkin some nice aftermarket hardware for steetbike faring would look nice.sorry but im not down with self taper tec screws in the body of my STI

Mine is very loose, I have complained and it got me nowhere.

I actually took my front bumper off and bent the supports that are screwed into the fenders. It helped a little bit.

I wouldn't feel too bad about it. My S2000 had the same issue with the rear bumper.

ok, after messing around with the many stock plastic fasteners, imho they SUCK.yeah they make life easy, but they also make for a wiggly bumper.i plan to swap out as many as possible.the lower tabs on the front clip,in the front underside.2 of them about 12" apart are just a joke.paper thin comes to mind, and thats being nice.not sure how to firm those tabs yet.i will let you guys know once i toss some hardware in ect...what the outcome is.
