Subaru Anti-Lag System??

Hi, does anyone know what the "Subaru Anti-Lag System" is? I have found references to it concerning the WRC car's Inconel exhaust system: SWRT - An Icon Evolves , see the section under the 2008 car.

It's a system that burns fuel in the exhaust system, creating rapid explosions in the exhaust piping... Purpose being to keep the turbo spooled even when off the gas.

VERY hard on pretty much everything related to the exhaust piping... including the turbo. Not something you can just do on any car, it's a specially designed system.

Thanks for the response... I guess this explains why they use Inconel as the material of construction.

Yeah my buddy's supra was running anti lag, and after 6k miles his turbo was dead.
