So guys, what should i do? Go with the magnaflow with a magnaflow resonator or go with the Harman Motive? Is the HM worth the extra money?

Get a Magnaflow and get a resonator welded in.
Save yourself few hundred bucks

Works and fits great. Plenty of clearance and no rubbing.

I got the Rev 2 and after some adjustments the tips are absolutely even.

I do have a question for those that have a DP with their MF...

Do you guys have any issues with an exhaust leak where the DP meets up with the mid pipe?

I don't know if I should replace the gasket, double it up, or have a shop weld on a 3" flange instead of that 2.5" donut flange that is on there now.

I know about nothing about exhaust but for sure, I would like to go Cobb stage 2 on a 2009 STi. Does the Magnaflow "allows" me to go Stage 2 or I need the combination of let's say the Cobb downpipes and the Magnaflow catback?

I must say it may have been answered but I haven't read the 28 pages...

Yea, my V2 leaked pretty bad when i mated it to my Invidia DP. I had a flat flange welded on along with a few inches of 3 in SS pipe and no more leaky leaky.

For a perfect fit I would shop for a downpipe that mates to the factory catback (2.5")... There are plenty out there.

If you have to get a DP that doesn't go down to smaller flange then you can just get one welded on.

Just get one welded....it takes like 30 min and 40 or so bucks.

I have never seen an aftermarket DP with a Donut flange btw.

Your correct, not sure what I was thinking there. The donut is on the DP side I think and the stock catback is just a 2.5" flat flange so any DP that scales down to 2.5" will work fine, its just the mating up of a 3" flange to a 2.5" that can be tricky.

I edited my post. I never had a stock exhaust from day 1 on my 03 WRX (had a catback bought before I even took delivery) and havn't touched the STI exhaust yet...

Some sneak peeks that will show up on my updated page shortly.

Revision 1 tip alignment

Revision 2

No change to the tips at all (I checked). Everything was done with the mid pipe and the intake pipe to the muffler. The changes squared up the muffler to the back of the car and pulled the tips even.

note: left side, inboard tip is straight. the light makes it look like it's crooked.
