Default Install factory fog lights?

Has anyone installed factory fog lights on a base STI?

What did it cost, how did it come out?

What year STi do you have?
I have an 06 and bought the plug and play factory kit. It is very easy to install. Remove factory bezel, plug in light, insert new bezel. It should be the same for the other years, not 100% sure.

Thats right. I don't own the car yet. Contemplating buying a base car and installing lights.

The foglights are pre-wired... install is easy.

took a shop thats never worked on the grb's about an hour and half to do the install. however, if you're the diy kinda guy, it shouldn't be hard as long as you have the proper tools which are pretty standard. just gotta take your time with all the clips in the front. its pretty much plug and play.

everything is prewired, the only part that is a bit tricky (but not really tough) is the install of the turn signal stalk.

Yeah... but has anybody actually done this, if so, where is the DIY or pictures. I did a quick search, anyone? I'm getting antsy and cannot wait for Porsche to get their engines off life support and want to buy a STi in a few months.

I installed foglights on my STI.. it is SUPER easy to do, I was going to take pictures showing what's up, but it's way too easy. NO modifications are required.

1. The foglights are installed with two plastic nuts (hand tighten) and one metal 10mm head screw each. To access the back of the foglights, remove the two small plastic splash guards under the bumper. (1 plastic pop rivet, and 1 plastic phillips head screw rivet each) Do not remove the entire bumper like the directions say.

2. Install the relay in the fuse panel (2 metal phillips screws to pull lower dash down)

3. Install turn signal / combination switch stalk with integrated foglight switch. Steering wheel column is held together by 4 metal phillips screws, and once removed, you can access the stalk.

4. Turn signal stalk is held in by two small metal phillips screws and is easily swapped.

I was near $450 for my foglight kit, but I chose to get the JDM version, of which I had to add the USDM turn signal stalk.

Check my post and a few pictures here: 2008 Foglights, JDM Multi-Coating

I installed fogs about a month ago. Didn't like the price dealership was asking for it, so, I just ordered it from subarupartsmall ($272+s/h). Very easy to install, spent about 40 minutes including switch/stalk on steering wheel.

You don't need any diy instructions. Short manual/instruction paper which comes with fogs has more then enough info. Actually, here is this manual (pdf): http://techinfo.subaru.com/html/down...?doc_id=219653

SubaruPartsMall has it for $272+s/h. S/h even to canada was less then $40, so to nh should be less the 310. I guess
