Did you pay "invoice" or below?

I know there is another huge 08 price thread, but most of the post are very old, and the conversation got diluted.

I would like a show of hands if you paid invoice or lower within the last few months.

I am aware that the "invoice" does not reflect actual dealer cost. I am basically trying to figure out if paying invoice is a smokin' deal, or is that just the going rate now.

No it's not a smoking deal. I paid mine $1000 below invoice and without any trade in.

I bought mine for $200 under invoice with 1k in options two weeks ago. Invoice was something like 33,500 on mine. MSRP was 36,500 with the options I had. I got otd w/tax and license at 36,500.

I think that sounds fair - I paid a bit under MSRP for my 07 Limited, but it was pretty rare, dealers weren't willing to do anything on it in my area, and it came with more options than the normal STi that made the difference worthwhile to me - leather, heated seats, front lip, no wing, sunroof, etc. With the price jump in the 08s, I would expect to pay closer to invoice than MSRP. MSRP on 08s is getting too close to more expensive competing models IMO, I would try to haggle down to invoice if you can.

Depends on what the charges, fees and genral a$$ reaming you take after the "below invoice price". More telling is the out the door price BEFORE tax and license, since this varies from state to state. I will start, bone stock base 33625 out the door.

was that out the door or did they slap a 650 doller destination fee? Did they slap a dealer proccessing fee? One dealer quoted me 1000 below invoice but after the 650 destination and their 450 doller proccesing fee it was a wash with the other dealer prices I was quoted.
