Default Samco turbo inlet

Does anyone have pics for this? Contemplating this or the Perrin one, PandL recommends the Samco though.

I've heard good things about the Gimmick Motorsports one too much cheaper. When it comes to silicone its really just about how thick they are and how strong the fabric or metal weaving is.

Import Image Racing Webstore - Exclusive- Gimmick Motorsports - Subaru Bolt On Performance! - GMS Black 2.4inch Turbo inlet hose for 02+ wrx/04+ sti

Im going to go ahead and say that I personally love the silicone ones but have always wondered do the APS and Agency Power hard ones make more power? since you dont have to worry about them collapsing or being creased.

I would also wonder if samco makes Perrins. Because I believe Stratmosphere makes all the Cobb exhausts so its actually cheaper to buy a stratmosphere and u get the same exact thing as if u bought it from cobb - having it say cobb....

kinda like some prodrive stuff as well.

I was talking to Ty @ PandL and he said the APS just has fitment issues, which is true. I've had the APS on my last 2 sti's. I was told the Samco is very good quality wise, and it isnt as hard to install as the APS.

100% agreed, I've helped install both and the APS was a nightmare.

I had the Samco inlet on my last car. Good stuff. Install is a *****, no matter how simple the instructions make it sound, though. Actually, getting the ridged stock inlet out is the hard part; the Samco one is flexible. I scraped up a few pics from my motor swap that show the Samco. No pics of the engine bay after I finished, though.

Held up great. Had it for 2 yrs so far, currently running 22.5 psi with meth tune. No troubles with collapsing.

Couldn't tell a thing for performance. It went on with a new vf34 turbo + sti intake manifold and tmic(later went 18g, then dominator 2.5R) With that combination of changes, I couldn't telling what effect the inlet had.

Definitely a little bigger and smoother than stock inlet.

Based on the dyno charts perrin provided, I don't think an inlet is that easy to measure via a butt dyno(compared to diff turbo, stage +1,2, tgv deletes, header, intake, tbe)

They are definitely different from each other.
