So I was up at Road America about a month ago for the Milwaukee Porsche club Event and I went to go take a look at the pictures that were taken and sure enough my STi had the most. Here is what I have uploaded so far. Take a look.

Nice pics, so how was your day at the track? Were you able to breakdown the track and find out what your ride needs to improve?

Those are some great shots. The '08 looks like it belongs on that track more than some of the Carreras. It looks so mean.

Sweet pics ! Impressions of the car on the track?

That was the first time I had the car on a track. To be honest I was a little nervous starting off on such a large circuit. For those that do not know, Road America is a very large sweeping track with lots of speed on several differnt parts. I thought the car was good through the turns allthough I did experience quite a bit of wheel slippage the first few laps. I also did not change the traction control settings until my second round which did improve traction through the corners. I think the car can use some improvements in handling. Another area is top end speed. Although the car pulled hard through 3rd and 4th gear. It was noticeable that the other cars on the track pulled harder at higher speeds. The AWD was clearly better when the track got damp after a light rain. I was faster and quicker through the turns than most of the porsches and few BMW's in my group. Almost no slippage at all, I was impressed and I think that this is when the STi is at its best.

On the other hand I had it out at Blackhawk Farms raceway on Wednesday. This is a much tighter track with more turns. The car was much better on this circuit. Turn in was nice although I began to experience brake fade as the day went on due to the amount of turning and braking required. I think sway bars, brakes, short shifter are my first mods.
