Default Went to beach this weekend...new noises

Hey guys,
I drove down to the beach this weekend in my 08 with 4K miles on it. It's the first time I'd ever been on the beach with a car. I got back on Sunday and I am noticing new noises coming from the back roof area/body area.

It is not a rattle per se, because nothing is "loose". It seems there is some movement now in the plastic/rubber/metal areas of the body/rear doors area.

Does anyone know about salt/humidity/sand causing this in cars? It's very annoying.

it may be the cargo area cover. take it off a see if the noise goes away. there is a thread here on a fix for noise that requires wraping electrical tape under where the removal slide/catch is on the passenger side of the cover cross bar

jrdriller, thanks for the reply, but I took the cover out a while back when I noticed that rattle

have you tried laying the seats down to see if it goes away?

the other thing to do is wash under the car.

I had a rattle coming from the rear seat latches. I wrapped the loop that the latches grab onto with a layer of black duct tape and that solved it.

I used to have to do this with my Jeep Cherokee all the time.
