Default Quality Issues

The day started out ok. I installed my AP and broke 1600km so I was ready to play with the SI drive. But then I broke the d..m SI button. the stupid knob broke right off...

I know someone else had this issue so if you are there could you please let me know what the dealer said and how it got fixed. Also what did they have to fix (take out the dash or the just fix the knob)

I can't find your post so sorry for the repeat.

The centre console should come right off and it should be a relatively easy fix...still sucks though. Did you twist it off?

you tearing your SI knob is a quality issue? Sounds like operator error to me. Please prove me wrong.

if you turn the knob and all of the sudden the thing pops off i would think that is a quality issue.

Do you happen to look like Arnold circa-1980?

I really don't think it will be a hard fix. Can you see where it broke or did it just come off?

I did look and the only thing that looks like it might have broken is a piece plastic that would be about as thick as a CD. Everything else looks like it normal and not broken. I did look to see if it screws back in but no thread or hooks could be seen. For one thing the thing is realy greased up. No chance of it getting stuck.
