Default 08 bbs wheels

What is a fair asking price for the slver bbs with low miles in excellent shape? I've seen the 08 five spokes discussed but not the bbs. Thanks for any help.

[quote=wrxlep;1886234]based on sales of the old model BBS, I would say 800-1200[/quote you cant base the price off older wheels, that are not the same size/offset/design. i would be surprised if you found a 008 owner that recently paid 2.2k for the bbs, that was willing to sale them for 800-1200call subie, ask them they will say.$775 per wheel

^^^^ then do that......I am aware of the different sizing..... most of us are cheap when it comes to buying USED parts. Half price for them is fair. There will be tons of these for sale within the next few years, so try to sell them now for more!

On EBAY I have seen the gold BBS go for a low price. The silver sell for much more. I would leave the wheels the color they came in. If you paint them no one will ever want them/

Yes, leave them silver. Not only for resale value, but because powdercoating forged aluminum wheels is not a great idea.

Now ... if anyone here is selling 08 BBS wheels for a reasonable price, PM me, because sometime before next winter hits I'm in the market for an extra set of wheels for my '06 .

I disagree with this as most people here will pay alot more for gold wheels than silvers... even the stock ones. It is a mere suggestion, silver wheels are alot more common and there are threads here of people willing to give their stock silvers for gold plus cash.

I would not sell the stock 08 BBS wheels as they are really nice and they are forged. On top of that you payed alot for them even as an option to your car let alone if you go to a dealer and try to get them from them. Keep them as its not worth selling them. You will regret selling them later. Its always good to have the stock wheels you never know when you are going to need them or even sell the car.

If you like the car don't sell it. Take it with you. You will take a huge loss if you sell it now. I don't how old you are but I have made some dumb decisions in my last 10 years with cars and trust me, unless you can break even and or can live with the loss of money you will take when you sell it, then hold on to it and wait at least a year. Well good luck with whatever you decide to do

its got around 1400 miles. If I could get around 37 for it I would sell it. this is only if I was sure I'm moving though as I'm pretty sure I couldn't afford it if I lived in sf.

Smile Re: 08 bbs wheels

I am not sure if you are selling just wheels or wheels/tires.

I would guess the wheels alone would be around $1,000. I know the BBS pkg is $2,000 but that includes the fog lights and these are used....even if only for a few miles.

I am not sure how much the tires are going to add to sales prices in the long run. The Dunlops have been a fantastic all around tire so far but I would think most owners would want something more performance oriented. I know that as soon as I can justify it, I will find some tires that can be utilized as DD but also perform well at auto-x.

As more of these find their way to the market, the 17" BBS's should continue to drop. Good for me as I am trying to track down a set for winter!

Good luck with the sale regardless.

I don't think you would be able to get anywhere near the $37K. You can pick up a shiny new STI at that price or less. You will probably have to settle more in the $33K-$34K range.
