According to press release, MY 08 STI suppose to have bigger brakes than the previous model.
(Front:330mm x 30mm Rear:320mm x 20mm)

However, I heared that Subaru made a mistake and the actual size of our rotors are not as big as Subaru claimed.
(More likely to be Front:326mm x 30mm Rear:316mm x 20mm)

Can anyone measure their front and rear rotors and post the actual numbers you got in mm and inch?

4mm is definitely not a big difference,but every mm count in term of heat capacity. However,that is not the point of my post.

My point is that Subaru advertised the brakes to be bigger and up sized than previous generation,but the fact is simply not the case they claimed.

I can understand why i always heared that most european cars are underrated from the factory while japanese cars are often overrated.

I am happy with the performance provided by 326x30mm rotors for the money i paid,but Subaru could have told us the real data instead of inflated ones for marketing

purposes. Maybe the new rotors are actually 1mm bigger,but they claimed this as a upgrade and rounded it to the next significant number which is somewhat misleading.

Sti is still a nice performance car for the money as it is ,there is no need to inflate the numbers because there is nothing to be shame of or worthing hiding from the

customers.
