So for someone that will be doing track days, would you recommend the sport or functional springs? Personally, I think I'd rather have a bit more suspension travel than an extra 10mm drop.

well thats exactly why we are doing both. Functional for function and lowering for a swindge more looks but still a good rate.

this set....I repeat this set...315/275(lbs),..but that may change. I have some # to go over to compare against what I "feel" is going on in the rear.

Of course, I am a new owner and I have trouble finding any faults with my new toy!
i have to agree.

on my '04 i had the full TiC/Kartboy shifter package, and it was great

i ordered the same package for my '08, but STILL have not installed it. and honestly, i might end up selling it, as i feel this shifter is A LOT better than the stock shifter in my '04.
i haven't missed a shift yet, and i only had one "grind" but that was because my left foot wasn't in sync with my right hand haha.

the steering feel however as someone else mentioned is a little vague, and lacking in driver feedback. i don't "feel" the turn like i would like to.

I actually don't have much issue with the shift throw in the 08, I just hate the rubbery feeling of the whole mechanism. I want it to "snick" into gear like it did with my 05 w/ full TiC/Kartboy setup. I've got my old Kartboy lever just collecting dust at the moment, I may end up throwing it on just for giggles. I honestly don't think the car needs it, the shortened lever, that is. I like the fact that the shifter is really close to the wheel now that I can telescope the steering column. I hit the bump stops in my driveway yesterday, there was a pothole in the shared easement I'd love to try the Functional springs. But I may also be in the minority when I say I actually really like the stock ride so far.
