Default 08 in car @ Road America

Couple laps at Road America last month in my 08. Going from an 05 to an 08, I found I need to learn new lines thru the corners. 08 Dunlop tires seemed to roll alot more than the 05 Bridgestones. Still a blast to drive though - hit 130 on the front straight.

Any problems with the brakes? What pads and fluid were you using?

I just ran completely stock this time out - only got the car a couple weeks before (plus the STOP SALE notice had just been released) so I took it relatively easy (esp. into/around the corners), plus ambient temps were in the 30's. Brakes held up extremely well, even better than my 05 with Carbotech pads & ATE Super Blue (which I intend to upgrade to before the next trip to Road America). Only thing that got my attention (once, and quickly!) was the car got a little "squirrelly" with any steering input when braking from high speeds. Never experienced this in the 05. Easy solution though: line it up and keep it straight until under 80mph or so.

I just knew someone would point that out...

Cruise cam mount to rear passenger headrest, then folded the seat forward to rest against the back of the (reclined) front passenger seat. Made for a very stable 3 point "triangle" base.

Chicanes were there to help prevent anyone from sliding off into what is normally a gravel trap (with easy extraction) but what was a big pool of mud that weekend.

Still cannot get used to the bridge being gone at RA...

If I can get time from traveling for work, I would love to take my 08 to a track day a few times this year but that is looking unlikely for the time being.
